Tedburn St Mary Football Club Newsletter – February 2024
Dear community, players, committee, volunteers, supporters, sponsors, and friends of Tedburn St Mary Football Club (TSM FC).
This season so far, has seen many new changes at the club, with a new committee being formed, a change in the men’s team management; not only at the beginning of the season but for the 1st team, again in the New Year, with a new manager and assistant being appointed after the previous manager having to step down.
TSM FC have two adult men’s teams currently, with the possibility of starting up our own youth teams once again from next season (2024/25). Ideally, we would want both teams this season to consolidate and remain in their current divisions but in the future look to improve, playing football at the highest level we can achieve at TSM FC.
We have great facilities at Barley Park, our home ground but would like to develop these and expand the age groups that can engage locally in football. To do this we will need additional help, not only financially, through fund raising, grants and new sponsors but with your support to get new teams off the ground next season.
The committee welcomes any new volunteers who want to get involved in a local community outreach. Volunteering with local football is a great way to use your skills and talents to help young people and adults enjoy a sport that can improve an individual’s, fitness, mental wellbeing, team building, confidence and have a sense of belonging and achievement. If you are willing to coach a youth team, help with the grounds, be on a kitchen rota or have ideas on fund raising and sponsorship, just want to be involved, or watch a match, please come and be a part of our football community.
